muslims have tattoos that represent allah or islam?

First, I would like to say I am happy that you will take your Shahada.

Now, to answer your question:

The answer is no, a Muslim is not allowed to have tattoos; first reason is because it changes the way you look, your changing the way ALLAH created you, there is no need to do that, if ALLAH wanted you to have a tattoo, he would have given it to you naturally.

Second, One in Islam can't get a tattoo especially of the Word ALLAH or ALLAH is the greatest or Prophet Mohammed(pbuh) or the Quran, etc... because we sometimes enter places that are unhygienic such as the bathroom, It's not very appropriate to go to such places having the Word ALLAH on you.

1. Islam prohibits the deformation of oneself. (tatoos fall under this category)
2. Tatoos prevent water touching your skin when you are doing wudu' or when cleansing yourself.

tatooes are prohibited in islam because your body is perfect the way he made it. We dont have symbols in islam but if I were you I'd just get a silver neclace with the word Allah written on it. Thats ok for you to wear. If you are a boy you can only wear silver, no gold. If you are a girl you can wear gold and silver.

Arabic Tattoo Design

Sounds like your grandfather was an awesome person, learning Arabic! I’m happy to oblige and translate your request. “Strength, Courage, And Wisdom” is “القوة والشجاعة والحكمة” in Arabic. It is pronounced “al-quwwa wa sh-shajjaa3a wa l-Hikma” with the being like our “k”, but more from the back of the throat, the <3> being like our “a” but more high-pitched and also from the back of the throat, and the being like our “h”, but with much more “air” from the back of the throat.

Below is your Arabic tattoo design in five different fonts/styles. Pick one you like:
