Tattoos Are a Long Lasting Trend

There is a trend that started years ago that has stayed around through all of the other trends coming and going. That is tattoos. There might be a trend of different styles of tattoos, but one thing is for sure is that people are still getting them. There are several different reasons that people get them. They might get them to show their love to a girlfriend or boyfriend or a spouse. For others they feel it is really special to get their children names done as they are born. They will always be their children. For others they are the sports fanatics and want to show their team spirit. The list of reasons that people get tattoos can go on and on.

The main thing is that people have to find a place to get them. For some they might choose to do it themselves, but for most people they choose to find a tattoo shop that has the professional equipment to do it for them. When you think about a tattoo shop what types of places do you think about? Do you think of a run-down place that is dirty and disorganized? You might wonder how sanitary it is. The other option is to go to a shop that is clean, organized and professional. They have the latest technology that makes the experience better.

There are always choices, but for those that choose a clean shop with a good sanitary process can make the tattoo a longer, positive experience instead of something that ends up getting infected.

How Tribal Back Tattoos Began

Not many people are aware of the origin of the word "tattoo". It is in fact Tahitian and it means "to mark". The word comes directly from the Tahitian word "tatua". It makes no difference what culture you are from or where in the world you are situated, getting tribal back tattoos is very popular. This ancient art form is carried out with the use of needles and different colored ink. However, tribal back tattoos are usually done in black.

Tribal back tattoos are very striking and take up large portions of skin. People from all walks of life are having their backs adorned with tribal tattoos. There are very few individuals who do not admire a beautifully executed tattoo over a small or a large expanse of skin. Both men and women are turning to tattoo to beautify their bodies. They are doing this to not only adorn themselves but also to make a personal statement. It has to be said that those who turn to tribal back tattoos really do love ink on skin. There are different kinds of tribal tattoos because there are so many different tribes in the world. However, the most popular ones in the west are Celtic and Polynesian tribal tattoos.

In the west, Celtic they are so popular because a great many people are actually of Celtic descent. Their tattoos look beautiful and have great cultural significance. Thousands of years ago Celtic craftsmen started carving out their intricate designs. It is true they did absorb outside influences as cultures touched and even intermingled throughout history. However, what is important is that a definite Celtic style emerged that is greatly admired and has endured for thousands of years.

The Polynesian style of tribal back tattoos appears as black silhouettes and looks more like waves than being intricate. It was due to sailors traveling around the world that the art of tattoo made its way to all four corners of the earth. The sailors were so captivated by tattoo designs they had them placed on their bodies. When they returned home they were walking forms of art.

Others saw their tribal back tattoos and spread the word. The first tattoo studio was set up in the US by a person who had seen how the Japanese went about their tribal or traditional tattoo. The Japanese indulged in intricate back tattoos. They also tattooed sacred text onto their bodies. The Japanese method of tattoo was taken back to the US where it was used until modern methods were developed. Then the tables were turned. The modern method of tattooing used in the US was seen by the Japanese. They took the US method back to Japan. Using the modern method when doing tribal back tattoos is a lot easier and quicker.

Tribal back tattoos from around the world are highly favored by men because of the strong design. These designs are considered as an important part of being macho in many tribal societies. However, in this day and age both men and women can more or less do as they please without any interference. Tribal back tattoos are admired by both genders.

Sleeve Tattoos - Why Sleeve Tattoo Designs Are So Great

Sleeve tattoos have become immensely popular among both male and female tattoo enthusiasts. The term 'sleeve tattoo' refers to a tattoo design that runs a significant length down the arm. The majority of sleeve tattoos cover either half of the arm or the whole arm. Half sleeve designs generally cover the skin between the elbow and upper arm, or between the elbow and wrist. Ultimately though, the area that a sleeve design covers is completely up to the individual.

In addition to being incredibly flexible in terms of size and positioning on the arm, sleeve tattoos can also be extended to other body areas. For example, some people ink incredibly striking designs that extend right up to the top of the shoulder, and then down the shoulder blade and back, or down the chest. While some people plan such large designs in advance, many people start with a smaller design, such as a half sleeve tattoos, and then keep adding to the original design over time.
Tribal and Celtic design styles tend to be the most popular options for sleeve tattoos. Both of these design styles tend to be composed of bold patterns and iconography, usually inked in black. Such designs tend to be fairly easy to extend, which explains why many people end up with such elaborate Tribal and Celtic tattoos, often incorporating a full sleeve design into a larger design.

Sleeve tattoos are a great choice for people who work for an employer with a no tattoo policy due to the ease with which they can be hidden. Wearing a long sleeve sweater or shirt will completely cover a design inked on the arm. Away from work, sleeve designs can be shown off to the world by wearing short sleeve t-shirts, vests, or by not wearing a shirt at all. For people like to show off their ink at the gym, or during the summer months, sleeve tattoos provide an excellent option.
In summary, sleeve tattoos are incredibly striking and provide tattoo enthusiasts with enormous flexibility in terms of size, positioning and the possibility of future extension. If you are strongly considering getting a tattoo, I recommend taking your time choosing a design that you really love, and that really has some significance to you and your life. Take the time to browse through as much high quality tattoo art as possible in order to build up a selection of designs that you really love. It is upsetting to think that so many people end up regretting their tattoos because they did not take the time to plan properly.

Tattoo Designers and Tattoo Parlors - Vital in the World of Body Arts

Have you noticed it lately? Tattoo lovers are getting younger and younger. Could this mean that the world is going back in time wherein a tattoo is a symbol of rebellion and deviance? Well, to some it's a form of intricate art work, while others would attest that is an ultimate expression of one's personality. Others may consider it a form of rebellion or a wild act. Each tattoo design has its own story to tell and indefinitely worth thousands of words. The person's skin is a blank canvas that's waiting for the tattoo designers hand to be pricked and to be painted for them to become alive and beautiful.

And each tattoo is the master piece of the tattoo designers. Tattoos of all shapes and size, designs from dragons to butterflies...from crosses to chains...from snakes to spiritual things are seen on people of all ages.

A word of caution though, one must be aware that there are certain medical conditions associated with body piercing. Many serious medical complications are often the results of unsanitary facilities or studios that can cause serious skin diseases and even death. People most be aware of the risk involves in this type of fashions. These can cause viral infections such as hepatitis, HIV, bacterial and fungal infections, allergic reactions such as skin irritation, and malignant lesions such as melanoma, leprosy, and other devastating diseases. Other health hazard one can get associated with body art include toxic shock syndrome, tetanus, venereal ulcers, tuberculosis, and a host of other skin diseases. Health standards with regards to methods of sterilization, disinfecting, cleanliness, and waste removal must be abided by the tattoo designers. Strict adherence to proper skin care must be followed especially on your new tattoo site to avoid infections and complications.

In choosing a particular tattoo parlor one must consider a lot of things. If the one you choice don't live up to your expectations RUN, take your money and search all over again.

* First impression is vital. When you start searching for a tattoo parlor pay close attention to your intuition or first impression of the place. Don't overlook them.

* Play close attention to the tattoo designs on display. Tattoos "flash" are those posters covering the walls of the tattoo studio are copyright artwork, and should be purchased from a professional artist. If the flash you are looking at appears washed-out, and you can't see any identifying marks, it's fake. If the tattoo parlor your visiting are willing to cheat legitimate artist out of their royalties that they should be getting from their tattoo designs, do you think you'll received the services that you are paying for like new needles, fresh high quality ink, clean gloves, and artists who are willing to give all the time necessary to make sure your tattoo looks beautiful?

* The best tattoo parlors have their facilities done in natural light so that you could see how your tattoo looks like permanently.

* Learn how long they have been in their present address and are they willing to give names of their satisfied customer?

* Do they have a portfolio with pictures of their healed tattoos to show? Do the artists have the knowledge to avoid scarring, or do they have an idea on what to do if they see plasma leaking during the tattooing process?

* The best tattoo parlor should dispose any sharp object in the manner as what the hospital do and any other materials which have come into contact with blood in biohazard containers.

If all of the above guidelines cannot be answered by the tattoo parlor employees especially on the safety practices, better get out fast and look for somewhere else.

famous tattoo artists from China

The three-day tattoo show brings an unprecedented display of the fine art of drawing on skin with many famous tattoo artists from China and abroad.

Today, tattoos are not only a symbol of rebelliousness, but also a unique art expression people can accept and view with a new perspective.

Marco Materazzi Tattoos

The Inter Milan defender is most famous for being head butted by Zidane in the World Cup final. But he's a hard-nosed defender who is known for scoring goals with his head. He stands at 6 feet 4 inches, so he's dangerous in the air. He also loves to tackle hard and sometimes his aggressiveness goes too far.

Marco Materazzi Tattoos

Cesc Fabregas Tattoos

Will Barcelona ever steal back Fabregas from Arsenal? How did Barca let him get away? I think the trade happens but not for some time. Fabregas is still young and has plenty of years left in him. And he's got plenty of more time to add more tattoos. Right now it looks like he's just got the one on the elbow.

Cesc Fabregas Tattoos

Francesco Totti Tattoos

Totti has played for one team and one team only in his career: Roma. And he's scored over 180 goals for the side. He's the leader and tailsman for his club. And he's got a Roman warrior tattoo on his arm even though it's obvious that's he's not afraid to go into battle for his club or country.

Francesco Totti Tattoos

Guti Hernandez Tattoos

The Real Madrid midfielder doesn't get as much attention as Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaka, but he could be just as valuable to the team. He scores big goals and threads through silky passes. He's got a few tattoos on the inside of his arms.

Guti Tattoos

Paulo Di Canio Tattoos

Rome, Italy born and bred Paulo Di Canio has played for a wide range of some of the best clubs in the world, from Lazio and Juventus in Italy to Celtic, West Ham, and Charlton up north in Great Britian. However, his career has been tainted by his fascist salute to the ultra fans of Lazio. He has scored over 100 goals in his career and always played with a flair and style that's shown in his tatoos.

Paulo Di Canio Tattoos

Victor Valdes Tattoos

Barcelona's keeper sports a warrior tattoo on his arm. He helped his side win the treble last year. Even though he's one of the most successful goalkeepers in Barcelona history, he doesn't seem to get the respect he deserves. Barca have signed him through 2014 though.

Victor Valdes Tattoos

Tim Howard Tattoos

Everton and U.S. national team goalkeeper Tim Howard doesn't flaunt his tattoos or take he shirit off that often. So many people don't even know he has them, but he's got quite a few and looks like he'll add some more.

Tim Howard Tattoos

Sergio Ramos Tattoos

Danny Califf Tattoos

Stephen Ireland Tattoo

Ireland has a giant pair of wings tattooed on his back, as you can see in the image below.

At 23 years of age, Ireland has plenty of good years ahead of him. However, the Irishmen he hasn't played for his country since he lied to then Ireland head coach Steve Staunton so he could leave the team to see his girlfriend. Ireland said his grandmother had died, when really his girlfriend had a miscarriage. Hopefully Ireland will be called back into the national team, especially when he's playing so well for Manchester City.

Stephen Ireland Tattoo

Jermaine Jones Tattoo

Jones didn't have a future with the German national team so he's signed on to play for the United States. Jones plays for Schalke 04 in the German Bundesliga. His month is German and his father an American serviceman. He could play for the United States in the 2010 World Cup. He also will easily be the player with the most tattoos. He's a player who is not afraid to get stuck in on the tackle.

Jermaine Jones Tattoo

Landon Donovan Tattoo

Yes, Donovan has a tattoo believe it or not. I didn't believe it either when I first heard about this. But it's truth, Donovan has a tattoo on the inside of his left wrist of a hummingbird. Don't believe it, take a look at the picture of the LA Galaxy forward below. Maybe Beckham will be bad influence on him and he'll get a few more tattoos.

His wife, Bianca Kajlich, has a tattoo of a female hummingbird nesting on her left wrist. Donovan said: "Hummingbirds mate for life and are monogamous, unlike humans."

Landon Donovan Tattoo

Tim Cahill Tattoo

Australian and Everton midfielder has an intricate tattoo sleave on his arm. Cahill spent seven years with Millwall before joining Everton, where's he has been for the past five years. He's also famous for crossing his arms like he'd been cuffed, after he scored, in reference to his brother who had been jailed recently.

Tim Cahill Tattoo

Natasha Kai Tattoos

Kai, who is from Kahuku, Hawaii, has 19 tattoos in total and has said that she got each one when she was going through a difficult time - each tattoo representing something meanful to her, from lyrics she's to images and designs. She has the most tattoos of anyone on this list and currently plays for Sky Blue FC in the WPS.

Natasha Kai Tattoos

Diego Maradona Tattoo

One if not the greatest professional soccer player of all time, Diego has a tattoo of Che Guevara on his arm and then a tattoo of Fidel Castro on his leg. He went to Cuba on a number of occasions to visit Castro and to do rehabilitation for his addition to cocaine. Diego has come a long way, from World Cup hero to drug addict to Argentina's national team coach.

Diego Maradona Tattoo

Clint Dempsey Tattoo

The man from Nacogdoches, Texas who went from the New England Revolution to one time rappper to Fulham to the United States national team. Dempsey is perhaps the first United States field player to make it out right as a professional footballer - start consistantly for his side. Brian McBride, Carlos Bocanegra, and John Harkes maybe in that category as well, but Dempsey maybe the most creative. In the photo below he sports his new arm sleeve tattoo - looks like somekind of warrior. The test for Dempsey is to make a big statement in the World Cup. Take the team on his back if need be to get them a win.

Clint Dempsey Tattoo

Harry Kewell Tattoo

The Australian midfielder who once played for Leeds and Liverpool in the EPL, now plays for Turkish side Galatasaray. He has one of the few colored tattoos on this list. A wide midfielder who has great skill on the ball and can beat players.

Harry Kewell Tattoo

Fabio Cannavaro Tattoo

Cannavaro has been the captain for Juventus, Real Madrid, and his Italian national team. He is the anchor of the team. He is the last man who makes the game or goal saving tackle. He has played for Napoli, Parma, Inter, Juventus and Real Madrid. After three years with Madrid he is returning to Juventus. At the age of 35, he is close to retiring from the game soon.

Fabio Cannavaro Tattoo

Freddie Ljungberg Tattoos

Ljungberg had an inflamed hip some years ago, and it turned out the ink in one of his tattoos caused a lymphatic gland to inflame which was pushing up against a nerve on his side. He had the gland removed and was out for a month. He has since decided against getting any more tattoos. Usually the main risk from a tattoo is the possibility of an infection from hepatitis B or C. Ljungberg has two panthers tattooed on his back.

The Swedish midfielder now plays for the Sounders in the MLS after having played for in the EPL for over ten years with Arsenal for 9 years and then West Ham United. Freddie has modeled and represented brands like Calvin Klein, Nike, Proter & Gamble, L'Oreal, Puma and Pepsi.

Freddie Ljungberg Tattoo

Fernando Torres Tattoos

Torres spent over six years with Atletico Madrid before moving to the EPL and Liverpool. He quickly established himself with Liverpool, scoring goal after goal with his head, on the volley, or on his own.

Fernando Torres Tattoo

Deco Tattoos-former Porto and Barcelona midfielder has a large picture of a Geisha on his back

The former Porto and Barcelona midfielder has a large picture of a Geisha on his back and a smaller tattoo on his left arm. He has struggled this year with injuries, but hopefully he can regain the form he had at Barcelona next year when he's healthy again. He started off scoring goals for Chelsea, but after missing out on a few games due to a hamstring injury, he has never seemed to find his previous form. Deco is an artist on the field, so it's no surprise he wanted to decorate his back with a painting.

Deco Tattoos

Dani Alves Tattoos

Alves has a pitcure of his wife on his right arm and then his son's name emblazoned across his chest. He has come into his own at Barcelona. Perhaps the best signing of the 2008/2009 season by Guardiola. Barcelona have the chance to win three trophies this year if they can beat Manchester United in the Champions League final. And Dani Alves, tattoos and all, is a big reason why they've had so much success this year.

At right back, he works up the line with Messi creating havoc for the teams they face. He spent years playing with Sevilla before moving up to play at the Camp Nou with Barcelona. And I don't think Barca will let him leave anytime soon.

Dani Alves Arm Tattoo

Dani Alves Chest Tattoo

David Beckhams Tattoos

Beckham has 11 tattoos in total, but this could change soon at a moments notice, as it seems he's set on covering his body with tattoos. He has his son’s names, Brooklyn, Cruz, and Romeo on his back, a guardian angel in the shape of a cross, his wife’s name and a replica of her wrapped around her name in Hindi. He also has the Roman numerals VII to commemorate the number 7 he wore for Manchester United on his right arm. Other more intricate tattoos adorn his arms.

Who does the tattoos for Beckham? That would be: Manchester tattoo artist Louis Malloy. Who is said to be the best in the UK and who, at one point, Beckham was said to have flown into Madrid to do a tattoo. On his return to AC Milan, just after the New Year, Beckham displayed a new Jesus tattoo on the side of his stomach.

Tattoo Removal Cream Vs Laser Tattoo Removal -save you money and pain

Anyone who has ever made a mistake when they were young knows that there are some things that they wish they could forget. However, if the youthful transgression involves a tattoo it may be hard to forget when the evidence is right on your skin. Fortunately, there is relief out there now in a much more cost effective manner than before, if you are wise enough to look into tattoo removal cream vs. laser tattoo removal surgery. Both processes will safely remove a tattoo from your skin, but the over the counter topical cream will save you money and pain.

Laser tattoo removal requires that you research a surgeon's office and then make an appointment to have your tattoo analyzed. After the initial meeting you will schedule the laser surgery in which the surgeon will use the laser to effectively burn off your skin that is inked. This is known to be quite painful and can be costly since it usually requires more than one treatment in order to effectively remove the entire tattoo. Additionally, it is not suitable for everyone, thus, if you have pre-existing health conditions you should check with your doctor first.

On the other hand, tattoo removal cream is the less costly, convenient, and easy way to remove a tattoo and can be done within the privacy of your own home. Simply purchase tattoo removal cream and apply it over the course of a week or two and watch your tattoo simply fade away. It works by fading the ink slowly that is burned onto the layer of skin called the dermis. After each application you will notice your tattoo get visibly lighter until it finally disappears altogether. The best part of all is that the entire process is painless and is as easy as simply using body lotion!
